SMLoadr is a lightweight tool that takes advantage of the advanced APIs to locate and download music files that are hosted on various online music streaming services. Users are empowered to set up their own custom download procedures that can range from downloading a single song or entire batch of songs, creating their own playlists, or creating an offline hosted library of music. It is important to note that this app is not particularly easy to use, and is intended to be used only for educational and private use. Additionally, you will have to provide valid credentials for each online streaming service, thus proving to them you indeed have access to their content.

The core component of the SMLoadr is a command-line application that can scan, locate, download save tracks from several online music streaming services, and then safely save them on local storage. Thankfully, the creators of this app will not force you to start learning various text commands in order to download songs. To do that you can activate the present GUI interface that will simplify the process of discovering and downloading the songs. Sadly, the process of accessing the app through the GUI is a bit convoluted, requiring the user to first manually point which EXE file GUI needs to contact.

Advanced settings found in this app are slim but well designed. Users can define where they wish to record found music tracks, and which audio format and bitrate they wish to use (FLAC or MP3 at 128 or 320kbps). GUI is capable to search for artists, filter by albums, individual songs, and even provide recommendations and suggestions for artists similar to your queries.

Even though some music streaming service offers limited support for downloading music files, SMLoadr is here to empower everyone to create a local backup of their favorite music artists. While the app is not perfectly streamlined for use by complete PC novices, it still provides an incredible value for everyone wishing to create their own personal music vault.
